Week 7 of NYC Marathon Training

Finally a cut back week! I needed it!!


Tuesday I did 30 min iron strength workout at home. 

And then did Tuesday's workout on Wednesday.
WU 9:56, 4x12min @ 8:07, 8:07, 8:20, 7:56 avg pace min/mile and CD 10:11. I ran on a hilly route on Lee Drive and not the usual Hopyard neighborhood. I wanted to test some hills since NYC will be hilly. Very happy about this workout! Ran a new 10k PR of 51:38, a min faster than my PR in April! Also my watch showed me I ran a new half marathon PR last Saturday during my 18 miler. 1:54:30, 2 min faster than my pr! 


Despite being a cut back week, I still had an 18 miler on schedule, I was a little surprised about that! My legs felt a little tired on this run, and my mental game as well. But I did it and finished 18 miles with an avg pace of 9:05. I didn't think I was able to speed up for the last 3, but managed my last 3 miles in 8:21, 8:23 and 8:45. It was nice to run most of the miles with Sarah again, our paces work out perfectly together!
